Discs with Chain – Power and Speed
These discs turn the angle grinder into a small, super powerful "handheld chainsaw." The chain is mounted between two steel discs, allowing it to rotate at the speed of the wheel (up to 11,000 - 13,000 RPM).
Key Features:
•High Performance: They cut wood like "butter," regardless of its hardness or the presence of knots.
•Sharpening Capability: Like the chains on regular saws, these blades can be sharpened with a simple chainsaw file (usually 4.0mm), extending their life.
•Flexibility: Due to their circular shape, they allow movement in all directions, making them ideal for artistic wood carving (curved cuts).
•Safety (Slip Design): If the disc encounters a very hard obstacle (e.g., a knot), the chain tends to slip slightly between the discs, reducing (but not eliminating) the risk of kickback.
