Construction Chisel – The Craftsman's Multi-Tool
A good chisel is not just a piece of metal, but a precision tool. It is made of specially hardened steel, ensuring that its cutting edge remains sharp even after contact with hard wood, while its head can withstand repeated impacts without deforming.
The three parts of the adze:
1. The Blade (Axe): Used for chopping wood, creating notches, and shaping beams. Its angle is designed for clean cutting with minimal effort.
2. The Hammer (Head): The back part functions as a hammer for quickly nailing pegs into molds.
3. The Slit (Fork): Located on the side or end of the blade, it allows for easy removal of nails (levering), saving time when dismantling molds.
